At Lizzy’s Childminding, I aim to provide high-quality, flexible and reliable childcare in a warm, safe and nurturing home environment. Fees and availability may vary depending on the days, hours and individual childcare arrangements required.

Childcare Places

I offer childcare for babies and young children within the early years age range. Availability depends on current spaces, children’s ages, ratios and the hours required.

Parents and carers are welcome to contact me to discuss current availability, start dates and whether the setting is suitable for their child’s needs.

Funded Childcare

I accept funded childcare, including valid 30-hour childcare codes where eligible.

Parents and carers using funded hours will need to provide the relevant eligibility code and any required information before the funded place begins. Funded hours and any additional paid hours will be discussed and agreed in advance.

Fees

Fees will be discussed with parents and carers before a childcare place is agreed. The agreed fees, hours, payment arrangements and any additional charges will be confirmed in the childminding contract.

Fees may depend on:

The number of days required

The number of hours required

Whether care is term-time only or all year round

Whether funded hours are being used

Whether meals, snacks or additional services are included

Any agreed additional hours

Payments

Payment arrangements will be agreed before the child starts and set out clearly in the childminding contract.

Parents and carers are expected to pay fees on time and in line with the agreed payment schedule. Late or missed payments may affect the childcare arrangement.

Deposits and Retainers

A deposit or retainer may be required to secure a childcare place. Any deposit or retainer arrangements will be discussed with parents and carers and confirmed in writing before the place is reserved.

Additional Hours

Additional hours may be available by prior agreement, depending on availability and ratios.

Any additional hours must be agreed in advance and may be charged separately.

Late Collection

Children should be collected at the agreed time. If a parent or carer is running late, they should contact me as soon as possible.

Late collection charges may apply in line with the childminding contract.

Meals and Snacks

Meals and snacks will be discussed with parents and carers before the child starts. Depending on the agreed arrangement, children may be provided with meals and snacks or parents may provide food from home.

All food arrangements will take account of allergies, dietary needs, cultural or religious requirements and safer eating guidance.

Holidays, Absence and Sickness

Fees during holidays, child absence or sickness will be agreed as part of the childminding contract.

Parents and carers should inform me as soon as possible if their child will be absent due to illness, holiday, appointments or any other reason.

Opening Hours

Opening hours and childcare sessions will be discussed individually with parents and carers. I will confirm agreed days and hours in the childminding contract.
